In 2010, 92% of Riggs CHC patients were below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level and 38% of patients are uninsured (UDS).

24% of patients are Hispanic.  All services are offered in a culturally sensitive environment.  To ensure optimal care, interpreters are provided and clinic documents, including educational materials, are available in Spanish.  Diversity is a valued and essential component to staff morale and patient care.

Riggs CHC Services Facts

Riggs CHC prenatal patients account for an estimated 34% of all births in Tippecanoe County. According to the Tippecanoe County Health Department there were 2,824 births in Tippecanoe County during calendar year 2010 (Tippecanoe County Health Department, Vital Records).

338 homeless patients were provided services with RN assessments.  Patients were given Center appointments for annual exams and chronic disease follow-up as indicated by physicians and nurse practitioners.

Medication Assistance Program (MAP) secured free prescriptions medications for 4,477 patients in 2010, equivalent to $2.7M.  

Keeping children current with their immunizations is a top priority for Riggs CHC; in 2010 pediatric staff administered 18,759 vaccines.
