All services are offered in a culturally sensitive environment. To ensure optimal care, interpreters are provided and clinic documents, including educational materials, are available in Spanish. Diversity is a valued and essential component to staff morale and patient care. Riggs CHC Services Facts Riggs CHC prenatal patients account for an estimated 34% of all births in 338 homeless patients were provided services with RN assessments. Patients were given Center appointments for annual exams and chronic disease follow-up as indicated by physicians and nurse practitioners. Medication Assistance Program (MAP) secured free prescriptions medications for 4,477 patients in 2010, equivalent to $2.7M. Keeping children current with their immunizations is a top priority for Riggs CHC; in 2010 pediatric staff administered 18,759 vaccines.
