The Prenatal clinic is available to any pregnant woman in the Benton, Carroll, Fountain, Tippecanoe and Warren Counties. New patients are accepted with a positive pregnancy test report up to 34 weeks. Pregnancy tests are provided free of charge, on a first-come, first serve basis daily from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  No appointement necessary.

The Riggs CHC provides prenatal care and follows care guidelines recommended by The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).

The Riggs Community Health Center providers do not deliver babies. Each prenatal patient will choose or be assigned to one of the local Lafayette obstetricians. Clinic prenatal patients will see an obstetrician during the last month of pregnancy. Each woman is also given the contact information of her obstetrician to reach them after hours in case of an emergency.

Prenatal Substance Use Prevention Program (PSUPP)

The Prenatal Substance Use Prevention Program is provided to women who or pregnant or are of childbearing age who are clinic patients. Patients receive smoking cessation education, behavioral techniques, support and encouragement in individual counseling sessions.

If needed, other substance use issues are also addressed during the sessions. This service is offered to patients at no additional cost through the Indiana Department of Health.
