Riggs Community Health Center, Inc.
Frankfort—Riggs Community Health Center, Inc. (Riggs), a pillar of quality healthcare in the
Tippecanoe and Boone County communities, is opening a new affordable healthcare center in
Frankfort, IN. All final approvals have been completed and construction has officially begun.
The newly renovated 7,500 square foot facility is planned to open at 2121 S. Gopher Dr. on the
south side of Frankfort in early June 2022. A nurse practitioner team will provide primary
healthcare to uninsured and Medicaid/underinsured community members of all ages throughout
the Frankfort community and its surrounding areas.
Riggs first opened in 1988 as part of Dr. Wendell Riggs’ vision to increase access to healthcare
to the area’s most vulnerable populations, including children and their families. Since opening,
Riggs has expanded from the Lafayette, IN area and continues to fulfill Dr. Riggs’ vision by
serving Tippecanoe County and Boone County. The new Frankfort clinic will expand operations
to serve the Clinton County and surrounding region, providing up to 10,000 primary care,
behavioral health, and dental visits annually in the forthcoming years.
“Our Riggs team is so excited to open a facility in Frankfort,” says Dr. McQuade-Jones, CEO
and President of Riggs. “As we have talked to community members over the last several years, it
became clear that our services for the underinsured and uninsured are much needed in the
community. We look forward to providing the community with local, high-quality primary care.”
Riggs is dedicated to the mission of improving access to quality, cost effective, comprehensive
health care with respect and compassion to under-served community members. In 2021 Riggs
provided over 60,000 patient visits to nearly 18,000 community members in 10 north-central
Indiana counties.
“We are pleased and looking forward to Riggs coming to Frankfort,” says Lorra Archibald,
Executive Director of The Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition. “Our community-wide social services programs encounter many community members who need affordable high-quality care. Riggs’ ability to see uninsured and underinsured patients fills a great need here.”
Riggs will be hiring locally for a variety of medical assistant, patient services, nursing, and other
support positions. Job postings can be found on their website at
